LaKrista Light through Dark Water Display Bowl

Light through Dark Water is the name of LaKrista’s meticulously developed tenmoku-inspired wood ash glaze. Anyone familiar with the lochs, rivers and burns of Scotland will recognise it instantly. It’s a sound and sensation as much as a sight; the hurtling, chortling rush of a post-downpour, peat-rich body of water – good for the hair and skin, great for the soul. When sunlight catches the water in this state, it turns golden. LaKrista has captured this mineral-elemental quality perfectly, and her large bowl is an enthralling object.
