We have six of these elm high-backed chairs with carved seats and curved, laminated backs that stretch to the ground. They make a wonderful, sculptural statement as a set for dining, or alone for occasional use. There is no maker’s mark, but we believe these were made in Glasgow in the 1970s. The early 20th Century Dutch de Stijl movement is a clear influence, and we like that there is an echo of Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s high back chairs, too.

Price is per chair and we are happy to split the set.

Height 129cm, depth 46cm. 40cm at the widest part of the seat, 44cm seat height.
