Tim Westley hand forges knives of exceptional quality in an old creamery near Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway. All of his knives are made from recycled materials and as a specially commissioned range for Bard, Tim has used the  iron hoops that once held whisky barrels to make these blades, with handles made from plastic melted down from gun cartridges.  

A former chef, he understands the importance of precision and quality in a kitchen tool. His knives are more than cult objects of crafty circularity – they are found in the hands of the finest chefs around the world. Westley is a zero waste hero, and a beacon of light in our otherwise dark times. He recently built his own pizza oven and hosts pizza meals for local friends so they don’t have to use their ovens for the night.
