Cara Gurthrie Knoydart Tiles

Cara has sourced and processed clay from the wildly romantic Knoydart peninsula on the west coast. The resulting terracotta makes for a rugged and robust clay, which Cara has formed into tiles that accentuate the natural properties of the material. The tiles have a variety of handy uses around the home, from trivets to coasters to decorative objects in their own right. ‘I have used a serrated kidney and small circle template to make a harvest moon design on each tile, which makes them just a little more special,’ Cara says.
