Eve Eunson Straw Baskets

‘My straw baskets are made using the knotting technique used in the critically endangered craft of Fair Isle Strawback Chair making,’ Eve says. ‘They are made from hand-harvested straw. The large one was made in Orkney and was from straw grown there. It is the first piece I ever made and features an oak base with oak corner dowels. The small one is woven with straw from Shetland Black Aets and has a base of reclaimed oak with walnut pin details.’
